First Anniversary Party!

Woot! WOOT!! We’ve almost made it through a whole year and we have skis AND a snowboard to give away at our One Year Anniversary Party!! Albritton Skis are built in Salida and the Finlandia Snowboard was built by Never Summer Snowboards down in Denver, so they’re both proud to be built right here in Colorado!!

We will be holding TWO drawings at The Bakers’ Brewery on Sunday March 6, 2016.

The First Drawing will be held at approximately 9:17pm. These entries will be filled by a 5 week long promotion where customers collect stamps on their raffle cards and for every 5 beers and/or meals they purchase, they will get one entry. They do not need to be present to win this prize, but will need to pre determine whether they want the skis or the snowboard (simply circle your preference).

The Second Drawing for the remaining item will take place later that night (at approximately 10:29pm) to a Must-Be-Present to win winner.

What Counts for a stamp?

BEER: Any full beer purchase: pint, snifter, sampler flight of 4, Happy Hour, $2 Tuesday are all good to count as one beer. Thus, for $10 worth of $2 beers on a Tuesday night a customer can get a full raffle card and an entry.

DRINKS: Any wine, shot, or mixed cocktail purchase counts. Sodas, coffee, tea etc. do NOT count.

To-Go Beer: Squealer (32oz.) Refill = 1 stamp; Growler Refill = 2 stamps; EcoGrowler Purchase = 1 stamp;
Keg = full card (5 stamps or one entry) but not for tap accounts at other businesses, this is for in house sales.
For Example: An EcoGrowler purchase plus fill is 3 total stamps…have 2 beers here and you’ve got a full entry!!

MEALS: Anything bigger than a side: Apps, soup bowl (but not cup), salads, sammies, entrees. OR, purchase of TWO cookies/brownies etc.

So come in, drink some beers, register for some prizes and get stamps!

The Burger Stands Alone

Wait no, never mind, it come with a sidekick.

Our burger is on the menu and it sure is juicy. Aspen Ridge Beef won out in our blind tasting of contenders in its category. Our ‘no swag here’, inspiration from Colorado products, and serving food that I would want to eat also led us to this conclusion. I guess the quality really does show through the beef.

As I write this I do feel a bit “Portlandia,” probably the first time I’ve ever been able to empathize with the show really. The beef from Aspen Ridge has some winning characteristics:

  • All from Kersey, Colorado (I included the link because I didn’t know where that was either)
  • Family owned ranch
  • Certified Humane
  • Vegetarian Diet
  • No hormones, growth or otherwise
  • No antibiotics

I don’t really eat many burgers, but I feel good eating this one and not just because it tastes good.

Brewery Bicycle tour in the Mountains

Riding bikes to breweries is a favorite pastime of mine. It feels like the freedom of my childhood riding down neighborhood streets but with the perk of frosty beers. This summer we needed a map of the six Summit county breweries and how to get there via bicycle. I think I’m going to try to get one signed with all of the brewmasters who produce that crafty brew. The Summit Daily wrote a bike and beer article about just this topic.  We will have this available in print at the Bakers’ Brewery and perhaps at some of the other breweries around the county.

For our hungry bikers out there, we will be starting a Monday ‘Bike to Bakers’ special. Stay tuned on our Facebook for more info!

See you out there soon!
