Family Fun at the Bakers’ Brewery
Featured in Mile High Mamas
We are very excited to be featured in the Mile High Mamas blog about a weekend of family fun in Silverthorne, Colorado. Among their many fun activities and great restaurants, the Holden family visited the Bakers’ Brewery and loved us! Special mention included our Barking dog brown as “one of the best browns [he’s] ever had” and “My sloppy joe was among the best I’ve tasted.” We were honored to be selected as a part of their visit.
Family Fun
Did you know that we offer a children’s menu? One of the things we are most proud of about our children’s menu is that we make all of these items from scratch too. Ok, except for the tortillas. We cut and bread the chicken strips, boil and mash our potatoes, we bake the bread and shred the cheese. We just don’t enjoy frozen, easy-street food. All of our kids meals come with carrot coins and Goldfish which, despite our enthusiasm about the home-made aspect of our food, tend to inspire the most excitement.
The children’s menu includes grilled cheese on home made sourdough. You can order a cheese roll up which is like a quesadilla. We make our mac n cheese from scratch or you can just order butter noodles. One of our favorites is the Kids Bakey Bowl which is a little bowl of mashed potatoes, gravy, cheese with a chicken strip. And of course, we offer chicken strips. All of our kids menu items are $5.95 and of course we give crayons to color on the menu itself.
Here is a collection of photos from Lori Holden’s visit. Lori is the author of the Mile High Mamas. Thanks Lori!
